The veve of Voudou loa, Maman Brigitte. Maman Brigitte is the wife of Baron Samedi, the lwa of graveyards and the dead. Maman Brigitte is usually portrayed as a white woman from the British isles, and has a fondness for rum laced with hot peppers, and as with most of the lwa, is prone to outbursts of filthy jokes and obscenity.  Women suspected of being ridden by her (a term for possession in Voudou) must prove it by rubbing hot peppers on their genitals.
