Mr. and Mrs. Davies, picture taken by Camille Silvy. This lady here is , Sarah Forbes Bonetta, was a West African royal, orphaned at age 8, and brought. to Queen Victoria. The monarch became very fond of Sarah and had her married to Mr. Davies in St. Nicholas Church in Brighton. Sarah’s daughter, Victoria, was the godchild of Queen Victoria.  Lemme just say, she is wearing that dress, and just… the way he’s standing.
